Summer Days

Oh the joys of being a boy...

A little "cooling off" in Mimi's pool

Hand Sewn

My nursing cover that I used with Allan was looking a little...well, used.
So what else was I to do, but make a new one!
I think it turned out great!
My own "custom" picked out fabric AND I decided to add a little something more than the store bought ones...
I added a black, satin lining.  So Baby H will have a nice, smooth, cool, fabric rubbing on his (most likely) bald little head.

Taking Pictures for a Friend

I got to meet up with a friend who lives out of town.  She wanted me to take some pictures of her little boys for her.
Us girls get to hang out and I get to see her two little cuties?  How could I say no?

Meet Micah’s little boys:
Cale and Colt.

This is Colt.  He’ll turn one at the beginning of August.
Look at those cheeks!  Don’t you just want to squeeze them?  I did!

Micah has some super cute kids!  Look at those big ole brown eyes they both have…they’re so adorable!

This is Cale.  He just turned 4 and has such a sweet, quiet little personality.

Maternity/Family Pictures

I made Kirk and Allan go take family pictures.
You know, to document this part of our changing family.

Kirk’s never one to get excited about having to smile and say cheese on command.  And Allan?  Well, he’s a 3 ½ year old boy with the attention span to go with.

We might have taken these pictures at 10:00AM.  But that’s 10:00AM on a July morning in Houston.
It was hot.
I was melting and swelling.
Kirk was ready for breakfast.
And Allan was ready to run away and go play.

But my boys stuck it out the entire 20 minutes for me and we managed to get some cute pictures.

(I didn’t realize I totally have the “full pregnancy face” going on.  Have I mentioned I’m ready for this little one to finish cooking asap?)

More Pool Time!

Allan and I got to do a little swimming at one of G.G.’s friend’s pool…all by ourselves.  We stayed for about 3 hours that day.  The boy loves being in the water.
What’s a boy supposed to do with a water gun when there’s a large cow nearby?
Shoot it!  Duh!
He’s my cutie-pa-tootie!
