Sand Box-ing

I took the kids to the park to play and wear out some much bottled up energy.

But today they weren't really interested in the playground.

Today it was the sandbox...

Maegan needed me to take a picture of her snazzy shoes that her mommy made her.

Very cool MaeganBean.

They had a blast digging around in the sand.

Throwing it.

Pouring it.

And sometimes eating it.

Did I mention I hate how messy sandboxes are?

Well I do.

But the little ones love them...

...So I let them enjoy the messiness.

Frappes!

Bad.  I know.

I try to only drink them a few times a week.

Hey, I rarely drink any caffeine other than these, so that's not too bad...

Right???

Big Boy Room in the Making

I'm in the process of redoing Allan's room and making it a "big kid" room.

It's taking a little bit of time, since I am making most of everything.

I finally finished his bedding.  (took almost 3 entire days)

His theme?

Airplanes.

They're gonna be on his bed.  On his walls. On his shelves.

And anywhere else I can think of.

I made the duvet cover and the bed skirt.

Allan seems to think it's all pretty cool.

I goal is to have his room done before I start on the baby's room. 

Looks like I better get finishing...

Allan's First Haircut

After 3 1/2 years, I figured it was finally time for "baby's first haircut," only my baby isn't really a baby anymore.

 He did great through the whole thing.  He sat in an airplane seat and watched Thomas the Train the entire 5 minutes it took.

 Why did it take me so long to finally cut his hair!?!?!

This kid definitely needed a new do!

One quick five minute haircut and he now looks like a "big kid" and not my little baby anymore.

Christmas Day @ Mimi & Papa's

 Christmas day, after ripping apart the presents at our house, it was time to go to Mimi & Papa's house for some more presents and Mimi's yummy stuffing...and turkey too.

My sweet boy even got excited over the new clothes that Aunt Aimee got him! 

Allan didn't have as many presents under the tree as his cousins did. 

He was bummed.

Little did he know what was waiting for him in Papa's garage... 

OMG (!!!!) his very own JEEP!! 

Too bad it was freezing outside.

Allan had to give it a test drive in the garage. 

I don't think he seemed to mind.

He was even cool with letting Ashtyn give it a spin. 

This is the face of a happy boy! 

OK, maybe just ONE drive around the yard.  Then it was inside to the fireplace! 

All in all, The Hamiltons had a great Christmas!!
